Addiction, mental health challenges, and other behavioral health issues are often referred to as “family diseases,” meaning that one individual’s diagnoses and consequent behaviors can overwhelm a family system like a force of nature that cannot be stopped. The assets shared within wealthy families add a layer of complexity to an already confusing and crisis-driven situation. High net worth families are not only attempting to access appropriate clinical treatment for loved ones, but they are also tasked with determining how to protect their assets.

Dr. Jonathan Green, PhD, is Chief of Clinical Operations at O'Connor Professional Group in Boston, Massachusetts. He received his doctorate in clinical psychology from Clark University in Worcester, MA. Jon completed his clinical internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the VA Boston Healthcare System with appointments at Boston University School of Medicine and Harvard Medical School.
