Join current and prospective Estate and Tax Planning Council of Eastern CT members for the next quarterly lunch and learn. The topic will be Ethical Issues for Estate Planning Practices, presented by Atty. Daniel P. Buckley of Michael A. Neufeld & Assoc., LLC.


The luncheon will begin with a brief special meeting to vote on the revised ETPCEC by-laws


About the Speaker

Daniel P. Buckley practices at the boutique trusts and estates firm of Michael A. Neufeld & Assoc., LLC. Mr. Buckley’s practice focuses on estate planning and administration for high net worth individuals, with an emphasis on estate, gift and income tax planning. He prepares wills, trusts and other estate planning documents designed to manage and dispose of clients’ assets in accordance with their wishes while also minimizing tax, probate and administrative costs. Mr. Buckley also regularly advises family offices and charitable organizations.


Mr. Buckley has significant experience representing both fiduciaries and beneficiaries in litigation related to trusts, estates and guardianships. His practice incorporates a full range of trust and estate administration and fiduciary accounting services, including assisting fiduciaries with marshaling, valuing and distributing assets, preparing estate and gift tax returns and settling estates and trusts, both judicially and non-judicially. Mr. Buckley has lectured for the New York State Bar Association on estate administration topics and has been appointed as a guardian ad litem in Surrogate’s Court matters. Mr. Buckley also represents clients in residential real estate transactions and advises business owners on corporate matters.


Mr. Buckley is a member of the Executive Committee of the Estates & Probate Section of the Connecticut Bar Association and chairs the Section’s Committee on the Uniform Fiduciary Income and Principal Act. Mr. Buckley has been recognized as a New York Super Lawyers® Rising Star for the years 2015 to 2021, and is a past Co-President of the Trusts & Estates Section of the Westchester County Bar Association. Mr. Buckley is also committed to giving back to the community. His pro bono work has included the representation of charitable organizations, as well as children in New York Family Court proceedings.
